Presentation at the Forum

The National Development Planning Commission (NDPC) in collaboration with the Department of Applied Economics has held a two-day forum to solicit contributions, perspectives and views of students on programmes and policies for Ghana’s Development Plan.

A three-member delegation from the University of Kwazulu-Natal, (UKZN), South Africa, has paid courtesy call on the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Joseph Ghartey Ampiah as part of their working visit to the University.

The delegation comprised Prof. Harold Ngalawa (Dean of Research), Dr. Evelyn Derera (Academic Leader) and Dr. Phocenah Nyatanga of the School of Accounting Economics and Finance.

A total of 15 graduate students have received an amount ranging from GH¢ 3000 to GH¢ 4000 at this year's School of Graduate Studies (SGS) Research and Awards Ceremony. Instituted in 2015, the Research Grant is aimed at supporting qualified graduate students to produce high quality research and to enable students to complete their research on time. The 15 awardees, who received a total amount of GH¢ 59,000, were selected based on strict criteria, among which were the quality of the research proposal and possible contribution to knowledge.
